Strong Public Schools

Woodstock's public schools are central to our community's present and future, and we believe in funding them adequately to meet the needs of every student. We respect the Board of Education as an independently elected body and support a budget process that respects its work rather than treating its requests as a starting point for reduction. We support transparent, long-term planning for school facilities and capital needs, including any decisions about consolidation. All plans and decisions should be made on the basis of educational quality, fiscal honesty, and genuine community input — not pre-decided behind closed doors. Strong schools will allow the town to keep its vibrant young families, attract new ones, and invest in the generations that will inherit Woodstock.
