Town government belongs to the residents of Woodstock, and its workings should be visible, accessible, and easy to engage with. We support clear and timely communication from town offices, accessible meeting schedules and materials, and meaningful opportunities for public input before decisions are made — not after. We believe professional, well-supported town administration produces better outcomes than ad hoc decision-making, and we support investing appropriately in the staff and systems that keep town government functioning. Above all, we expect every elected and appointed official, including our own, to conduct the public’s business in public with respect and appropriate decorum.
