Public Safety and Infrastructrure

Safe roads, reliable emergency services, and well-maintained town infrastructure are core obligations of local government. We support adequate funding and staffing for our volunteer fire and emergency services, sensible traffic safety measures at intersections and along corridors that residents have repeatedly identified as dangerous, and careful planning for the long-term maintenance of roads, bridges, and town buildings. We also believe Woodstock's infrastructure should serve all who use it — whether they travel by car, by bike, or on foot. Deferred maintenance is not savings; it is debt, paid later at higher cost. We support facing those obligations promptly rather than pushing them to the next budget cycle or the next administration.
